Adding New Students

When a new child arrives at Atlanta Mission, we need to add them to Brightwheel. For adding more than a few students at a time, please put in a ticket with the IT team to do an import from Salesforce.

This article describes how to add new students.

1. Click Students.

2. Click + Add Students.

3. Click Add students now.

4. Type the First Name.

5. Type the Last Name.

6. Select the Homeroom.

7. Click Save Students.

8. Search for the Student(s) you just created.

9. Click on the Student's Name.

10. Click Edit by Personal Info.

11. Select the Birthday.

12. Select the Gender.

13. Select the Race.

14. Select the Ethnicity.

15. Enter in any Allergies.

16. Click Save.

17. Click Edit by School Details

18. Enter the Child's Salesforce ID for Student ID.

19. Click Save.

20. Scroll down to Contacts.

21. Click + Add a contact.

New Parent/Guardian Contact

22. If the parent is new in the system, click New.

23. Select relationship to child.

24. Enter the First Name.

25. Enter the Last Name.

26. Enter the Email or Switch to mobile phone.

27. Click Save Contact.

28. Click Yes, Invite.

The child has been added and associated to their Parent/Guardian.

Existing Parent/Guardian Contact

22. Click Existing.

23. Select relationship to child.

24. Select the Parent/Guardian.

25. Click Save Contact.

26. Click Save Contact.

The child has been added and associated to their Parent/Guardian.
