Send an Email to a List

Testing marketing emails helps you make sure they look good and work properly before sending them. It lets you fix any problems and see how the email looks on phones and computers. This article explains how to send a test email.

From Email Content

1. Click Send.

2. Select the Salesforce Campaign for the email.

3. Select the Recipient List.

4. Select your Suppression Lists.

We should never send marketing emails to children. Also, consider excluding other lists if some of the recipients may be part of an automated series to avoid sending them two emails at the same time.

5. Select the Primary Sender.

If you're a Donor Officer sending to donors, choose "Assigned User" as the sender. If you're on the Marketing Team sending to a large list, select General User and use the appropriate name and email like info, race, or volunteer, depending on the topic.

6. Choose when you would like your email to Send Now or Send Later.

7. Click Send.

Your email has sent!
