Share Computer Screen Using the Teams Virtual Rooms Controller

Teams Virtual Rooms offers a convenient way to start, join, and control Teams Video meetings in a conference room from a controller.

This article provides instructions on how you can share your laptop screen from the controller.

Share your screen during a meeting

1. Connect the attached HDMI cable to your laptop.

The correct HDMI cable runs to the back of the speaker/camera of the Teams Virtual Room. An HDMI cable attached to the TV itself will not work for sharing in the Virtual Room.

2. Click the Share icon.

3. When you no longer need to share, detach the HDMI cable from your computer or click Stop Share on the Teams Virtual Rooms controller.

Share your screen if there is no ongoing video meeting

1. If there is no ongoing video meeting, but you'd like to share your screen to the TV, connect the attached HDMI cable to your laptop.

The correct HDMI cable runs to the back of the speaker/camera of the Teams Virtual Room. An HDMI cable attached to the TV itself will not work for sharing in the Virtual Room.

2. Click Share.

3. When you no longer need to share, detach the HDMI cable from your computer or click Stop Share on the Teams Virtual Rooms controller.
