Share Your Screen, File, or Application in a Teams Meeting

This article provides instructions on how you can share your screen, files or applications during a meeting in Microsoft Teams.

NOTE: Make sure you open the file that needs to be shared before clicking the Share button.

1. Click the Share icon.

There are two types of sharing, Screen (sharing your whole screen) and Window (sharing a particular window you have open). We'll start with how to share your whole screen. Click here to learn how to share a specific window.

2. Select the Screen image.

If you need to play a video or something else with audio, toggle Include computer sound.

To control your sharing settings or stop sharing your screen, use the share menu that's appeared at the top of your screen.

3. Select the specific window you'd like to share.
