2. πŸ‘€ Review a Group Volunteer Request

Updated on

Groups interested in volunteering at Atlanta Mission either submit the Group Volunteer Form or contact us and we submit it on their behalf. Each submission automatically creates a task in Asana (Volunteer: Group Onboarding β†’ Review) and assigns it to the coordinator responsible for that group’s size or preferred service area.

This article explains how to review the Group Volunteer Request and complete the initial onboarding steps.

1. Click on the Volunteer: Group Onboarding project.

2. Select the task you want to review.

3. Review the group request details.

4. Scroll down to Subtasks.

5. Check off the subtask Review group volunteer submission.

6. If you've not yet spoken to the group lead, move the task to ⏳ Reached Out/Waiting Response. Otherwise, move the task to πŸ“‹ Planning Process.

Once your task is moved, new subtasks will be assigned and the due date will change.

Next up: following up with the group lead if you haven't yet heard from them.
